Ill Back up Sentynel on that, Ive played UT several times, and thought it was very good, thats why I am buying it right now.

UT is technically multiplayer, but I bought it months before I had a decent net connection, and spent months playing against the bots. The single player is really good.

A bot will never, say, wait in a sniper position. I'd like to see bots forming a sniper gauntlet or mining and defending a choke point.

Each bot assigns itself a particular role, and they coordinate with each other and the actions of humans. They regularly hold choke points, and on higher difficulties, will set up as snipers too.

Yes. The UT2004 bots are impressive. Download the demo and play the Onslaught gamemode with bots on the highest difficulty.

a) UT isn't supposed to be realistic.
b ) Battlefield 2142... realistic?
c) There are tactics in the Onslaught mode of UT, but there's non-tactical deathmatches too. Nice balance.
