If I was a magician, I'd have summoned Barti, Faquarl and Jabor as my personal bodyguards just for fun. Listening to their exchanges would almost make the eventual drawn-out painful death you know you're going to get worth it.

If your slaves can even get a chance to give you a long drawn out painful death, you are simply not a competent magician.

With those 3 together? Gladstone would've suffered a long drawn out painful death.

I think Gladstone had enough power to have control all of them.

If he can handle afrits, he can handle dijinn.

ya you do realise gladstone controlled a staff with the power of 2 marids, he had a horde of djinns and many afrits. If golems coulnt bring him down i doubt mere djinns could

Gladestone would have died from their endless talking.

Honestly I like Nathaniel a lot better. I mean although Ptolomy was a much better person and extremely kind and cool, I find him more detached and logical than the full of emotion and character of Nathanilel. I really like how there's many sides to Nat and how he tries to be in control but deep down inside is an insecure kindhearted soul. It just makes him so much more human

Throughout the books, I always beleived in Nat to do the right thing and felt sympathy for him and he hasn't disappointed me :D

I agree with you whole heartedly.

I'm Nat's advocate to the end.

Welcome to the fourm, by the way. I'm Ianna.

:new: *sigh* you Nat lovers..... I think Ptolemy was better than Nat. I think that Faquarl was a really good character, and I'm actully surprised that Barti evaded him for so long......*sigh* :pirate2:

Farquel was cool because he was barti's arch enemy and barti liked to steer clear of him.

I see many people call Faquarl Farqual, which I find easier to say. Then, there's Farquel, Faqural, etc.

Didn't Solomon enslave Jabor, Faquarl, and Bartimaeus at the same time?
Probably, Solomon inslaved evryone anyway. That must of been a handfull. Barti, Faruarl, and Jabor all forced to work together...

Sometimes some people say Farqual, because it is easier to say, think, and type than Faquarl. I didn't need a point other than to point out that.

Some people read it as Farqual, and thus type it like that. Wow. Brilliant observation skills.

Solomon enslaved everyone using his magic ring. My theory is that it contained a powerful being that forced other djinn to work for the bearer of the ring.
