Only some people.

He generally liked Mwamba and Queezle (Queezle more so). He also liked some of his masters, especially Ptolemy. And he, of course, liked Kitty and Nat.

He liked Nat at the end. He insulted him a lot in the beginning (obviously). And Mwamba and Queezle were the only female djinn we see him interact with.

Naeryan, though she is an afrit.

I doubt afrits and djinn can mate.

Not really, he totally disregarded Kitty's (Admittedly naive) Views; she was a 'breath of fresh air'

She was only different because she wasn't corrupt lik the other magicians. I guess she reminded him of Ptolemy.

But he helped her out and in the end like her.

Because she did Ptolemy's gesture. If she didn't, he would have said 'Tata, go off to die'.

But the whole point is she did Ptolemy's gesture and believed in the same ideals he did.

Against magicians, yes.

Ptolemy was never 'against magicians'.

But they both wanted a change from their selfish ideals.

They just had different methods.

They had the same values, although Kitty expressed them more violently.

Ptolemy was a peacemaker. Kitty and Barti weren't.

Values, yes. Ideals, no.

Kitty's life was practically a parallel of Ptolemy's. They both went to the Other Place, they were both persecuted by the gov't and they were both involved with Barti's dismissal, because Nat would probably not have released Barti and the imp if it wasn't for Kitty's influence.

Let's see now.

Ptolemy was born into royalty, he was taught magic by one of the court priests. He led a pampered and bookish existence. He was a man of knowledge, never really knowing anything about the real world. He craved insights into the mysterious and arcane. He invented the Gate to satisfy his curiousity and prove his ideology.

Kitty was born into a commoner's family. Ignorant of magic. She led a storid life. She was a woman of action, without just enough knowledge to written on a postage stamp. She jumped into the gate out of desperation, her ideology died with the resistance, the whole summoning of Barti was desperate and ignorant.

And persecuted by the goverment? Ptolemy was attacked by his cousin, it was a personal endevour. There were no parralels with Kitty. And Kitty had nothing to do with Bart's dismissal, except maybe adding to Nat's new persona's ambiviance. Mostly the dismissal was because of the fact Nat was dying.

And the fact that Kitty had impacted Nat's life in a way that you can't measure.

Kitty caused Nat to develop as a character. Kitty and Barty had a bond because she went to the Other Place. Barty grew to, at the very least, respect both of them, as evidenced by the very last line of the book.

I find this true. But Bartimaeus liked them both, at least a little. Why else would he not betray Kitty and Nathaniel?
