It's better than getting your body taken over by demons and your mind crushed.

Although I'm sure that's a lot less painfull.
i guess but for a demon its the worse thing that can happen

I doubt Nate's punishment would kill Barti, based on how Barti was talking. The herbs are painful, but not enough to kill him.

Probably, but if the demon is strong, it would still take a fair time.

The box isn't silver, though. It's a tobacco tin IIRC - wood or metal of some sort. Nate wouldn't use something that would kill Barti quickly. It has to be a fate worse than death.

I like the part where nathaniel gets beaten up by the resistance and comes to Bartimaeus (idk... its kind of funny though)

Oh yeah, and it was in Bartimaeus's P.O.V.

It was hilarious.

*Shurg* The part where Bart burns Faquarl was best.

Nah, the part where Nat realises that a mass summoning is going to take place when all the members of government are looking up at the ceiling is by far the best.

*Spoiler*

How stupid are the Ministers though. After Ramuthra, how could they let Makepeace happen?

They tuned themselves out automatically. They thought it would just be another tedious play.

Im surprised though, especially at the senior ministers. If I were there, I would have brought along a Djinn or an Afrit...at least a Foliot to guard me, and made it come in the guise of something like....a bottle of water? There is no limit on what form a Djinn can take, and as long as they looked like water on planes 1-6 then everything would be ok.

Can I also request that all personal demons are dismissed for the duration of the show lest they prove distracting.
Makepeace
PG, pg 287

They just did what Makepeace said. The PM in turn would have then wanted them to do it, and they don't want to displease him. Pretty clever trick of him, actually.

I'm going to have to go with you on this.

But hey, I expected some magicians to not give a care as they didn't respect Makepeace.

Exactly, i would have expected the senior magicians expecially to be more vigilent, no matter what the circumstances. But hey, at least Whitwell put up a fight, that was amazing, i felt oddly sad though *spoiler* when she died.

Makepeace was only respected because the PM liked him. He must have also been fairly influential and obviously talented. Remember, we only say him through Nat and Barti's eyes, and they were kinda biased.

Underwood didn't respect him and only left him alone because he was deep with the PM.

And Kitty thought it sucked.

Oh, and the other magicians groaned..."Oh, god, it's a musical..."

Pinn didn't like him either.

I can really empathise with them, "Oh, god, it's a musical.." How many times have I been in that situation, lol.

Oh, definatley.

I personally don't like the theater. So I think I understand almost more than anyone.
