Bart's final words for Nat

Ptolemy's Gate
i think bart liked nat like ptolemy in the end
Advice: It was probably an accident, but please don't double post. It annoys the admins and clutters up the forums.

:welcome: by the way!

Well, Nat and Ptolemy started to have a few things in common anyway... :welcome:
"I witnessed an astronomical event, something as I watched I know I'd never see again. Pure truth." (House)
Okay, the last paragraph shows Barts final appreciation for nat. Nat saved bartimaeus because he cared for him, (despite saying it was because he screwed things up. duh) Bart might not have loved nat the way he loved Ptolemy, but he was surprised by nathanials actions at the end of the book. (his obvious care for kitty, and his self sacrifice for al of london) Stroud was obviously trying to show barts...idk not love, but maybe for nat. Nat went out a magician, but also a good man. So bart was happy for him. and sad. The sad part of the ending is "i would have liked to tell him what i thought of him, but for all intents and purposes we were one in the same, so i rather think he knew already." that pulled at the heart strings, because, idk he went out like ptolemy. what do think bart thought of him?

:welcome: Megan Elise Smith,

OT but how long did it take you to read Crime and Punishment? Because I heard lots of good things about it, but the older classic books scare me off quite easily.

Also, if your username is also your real name, or if you ever accidentally divulged your personal information to me, you are now required by RAOI census law, to fill out this.

Thank you for your time and patience.

I think Barts last thoughts kinda meant " Hey, you've been a real jerk but really, ur not that bad" :)

Yeah, that seems completely like Bart. Yet, I hope he said he will really miss him & he's a very nice person & stuff.....heh, I know I'm being schmaltzy :D .

i dont think bart is too sad over nathanial cuz this nat was never too special to him. he probably is saying he was better than the other ruthless magicians when we worked together to a common goal....

I like the last para a lot too. I actually by-hearted it. Dunno why. Seems stupid now.

i thought it was more 'i hate you, but not as much as i hate most people' or something along those lines.

I understand why you might think that. I agree.

You know what would clear a lot of this up? A fourth book in the trilogy.

Yes, I agree. A fourth book would be most beneficial.

No, it would not. This is, I think, the general consensus of the board. Submit or perish.

Thank you, Apollo, couldn't have put it better myself.

An encyclopedia would be more desirable.

Which is what I've been wanting and predicting since that first topic forever ago..
"new book"
Is what it was called.
I first said a book detailing the adventures between the books, which then evolved into a history of bart, then a history of Bart and Faquarl, narrated by themselves.
For example, what Faquarl was doing in Troy, when Bartimaeus was in Egypt.
That kind of thing.
