Bartimaeus Trilogy in Essays?

General Discussion
Yeah, post it here directly. Because most of us want to read it.

When it's done.
I actually ran into a problem using an online clipboard, since I'd left a flash drive at a friend's house, and had to do some explaining in Marketing.

Yep, do post it here (if that's allowed), we'd love to read it. Also, I totally understand what you mean about writing this to make a point and not just for the grade, I'm the same way, especially if it's a book I love.

And good luck with not getting caught plagiarizing yourself ;)

Welcome back, haven't seen you around in awhile.
He's probably good by now, if I remember the date right.

Hey guys, I'm back. Finally submitted it and stuff, so I think I'll post it up. I can probably explain it away if something horrible does happen, anyways.

Yes, it's the final one. So don't be so utterly harsh on it, I'll feel bad because I can't edit it anymore. Lmao. I'm quite sorry if it becomes dull around the second third of it, I was quite dying.

I've put it up on Mediafire. It's in a zip file, the password is the name of the only individual who has a chapter in their perspective aside from Nathaniel, Bartimaeus, and Kitty. In all small caps.

Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?rrem5qmaggl

Have fun, hopefully.

And thanks for all the help.

For the past 10 minutes, it has been coming "processing download request". Am I doing something wrong?

No, it shouldn't be doing that.

I tried opening the page myself and it changed into "Start Download" without trouble.

Is anyone else having problems?

It is fine now. Had to just wait for a few minutes. I am reading it.
Finished it (took time 'cause I had to have dinner too).
It is a brilliant piece of work. I can see that you have put loads of effort into it. Most of the parallels you drew never, ever struck me. And it makes me admire the novels even more. I liked the way you categorized the three books and the final page on the symbolism between the Amulet, Eye and Gate was very nicely thought out. You write well too. I really hope Stroud sees it. (I am sure he will feel very proud.) All in all, an excellent job.

Right. I don't have WinZip. What other program should I use to open it?

You could just download WinZip? 7zip is my preferred free software archiving program for Windows, but I'm not sure off the top of my head if it can handle passworded archives. Should do.

I use WinRar, but it's fairly outdated

Or you could do that? Provided it doesn't take much time or anything.

Excellent essay, great job. I think you made a good choice in writing the essay on the Trilogy, and also loved the way it was set out, like nathanielandbartimaeus said.

and with the zip file, i was just able to right click the file after download and extract it without using any other program, and im just running vista?? although i still think that its a good idea to have the essay here on the site, if not for ease of download, then just because its such a good analysis of the trilogy.
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Something symbolic in that. It's what fake freedom does for you.
I've written a novel study report on RoS, if that counts, and it was over 1000 words long. So if you write it one the whole series, you'll definately reach 4000 words.

I got an assignment in English that prompted me to find examples of different literary devices. One of them is "sarcasm". Hmm, wonder where I'll find an example of that. :p
