People, this fourm is supposed to be clean.

I think he's writing a sequel to the Supernaturalist or something.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

No.
Shame of the Super Son
Ooh there's going to be an AF graphic novel. Now that's a medium that's more suitable for the style of Fowl.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Was that the one about that girl who came back from the dead to help people or something?

Nope, that was the Wish List.

The Supernaturalist was the future story about Cosmo.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

I loved Artemis Fowl. The books were funny and fast-paced. I've even heard there might be an Artemis Fowl movie. ^_^

I haven't read the Wish List though - Was it good?

I thought it was as good as Artemis Fowl.

According to Colfer, the movie holds the plot of books 1 & 2 with new twists.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Hmm, that's quite alot of plot in one movie. It could seem rushed for people who've never read the book (a la the GoF movie)

But GoF was a whole lot better than the first three. And if WB would give them more screen time then it wouldn't be so rushed.

And if they'd take out thirty minutes of dragons flying around a licorace snaps or whatever then they could actually explain more.

Sorry rant.

But I wonder how much of each book's plot they'll actually retain...

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

To someone who's already a fan of HP, GoF would be the best, no contest.

The danger of the AF movie being too rushed is greater because it's not as widely-read. On top of that Artemises in the first and second books are very different. Artemis was clearly the villain of the first. Then in TAI it's a couple of rogue fairies.

True.

But I wonder if they take out the troll scene and Holly and Artemis make a deal to go to the Artic...

where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Artemis Fowl are great books...there are what, 5? One more is coming out from what Iv'e heard. :D

You are correct on both counts, actually.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Oh, good. A movie would be fairly nice, if they did it right of course, unlike the Eragon movie, which was a total disaster.

According to Colfer, they're combining books 1-2 and have a new tesity ending.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

I'm quite curious on how that is going to work out. Hopefully Mr. Colfer will have influence over the director. Wasn't there another series of books which had the first 3 made into 1 movie? Those Lemony Snicket books I think...

You are correct, sir.

Sorry reference there.

Anyway, I believe he helped write the script.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."
