Thanks.

I see how it could go either way but this line:

Our own consciousness was all that kept us imprisoned.

Makes it seem that simply being knocked out would work.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Well clearly it doesn't...

OT: Got a piece of crossoverish post-The Lost Colony fanart to share: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/46224799/

Which isn't as exciting as it sounds.

Well, that could be because of an exsistant plot hole. My point was is that Aretmis's explaination wasn't air tight or totally clear.

Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Stupid, yes!

I'm sorry but it's all so phony and not even well written. I mean I had to FORCE myself to finish the first one.

I tryed reading the rest of them over Christmas baut it actually caused me pain. I don't think that's a good thing.

I don't think Colfer is any good at writing smart characters. Your right Ianna, all of Artemis's plots have holes in them.
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

AS long as you're not talking about me... :D
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

I wanna read them. Or one of them. What is it's title in Hungarian? ?_?
"Is that a unicorn? No I'll wear the purple shoes and who painted the kitten?"

Read the first book and pretend it's the only book.

It'll be much better this way.

And it seems like there's going to be a 6th book. *bleh*

Did Minerva piss anybody else off? Colfer was overdoing the puberty thing and her character was suffering.

Me x100.

Colfer just dumbs things down way too much. Just compare the writing in the first book and the Lost Colony. All of these children's authors do when they become runaway successes. <_<

Jon will never do that!
Yup, but he's not exactly a children's author.

I am considering buying these books. There is something that puts me off though...i read the blurb on the back of one, it seemed interesting and original but something put me off...anyone think that it is a 'must buy'?
The first three were freaking awesome. You shouldn't expect it to be even remotely like Barti or fantasy, AF's an entirely different breed of animal. Just buy the first one and see if you like it.

The first one was excellence, the second and third good, don't buy the rest.
