There exist people who liked the Eragon movie. You're never going to find everyone disliking any particular film, just a majority. And the majority of people I know think the Matrix "sequels" were awful.

America loves the Matrix movies. Maybe just my region, but it seems like the entire country.

No, no, no, what I said was reffering to my original point, A Bart movie. I think if they made one, WE would have largely the same opinion of it. - Love it or hate it.
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Good point seeing that nearly all those who read the Eragon book hated the movie. But we aren't talking about ourselves here. I know we will remain loyal to the book however botched the movie is. But what about the would-be readers (not meaning to be derogatory)? We'll lose them all if the movie's done bad.

All the more reason to get people into the books, eh? Before they're shown in a bad light if the movie's bad.

Then we must make sure that the guy who plays Nat is super hawt, so at least if the movie sucks people will still get drawn into the Barti scene.

And I can raise my army of shallow fangirls that way.

Can you picture JS trying to respond to an army of fangirls? Poor guy.

You think a skinny, pale 12 year old boy will attract fangirls . . . ?

You really think Hollywood is going to keep the skinny twelve year old image?
Good point. They got in such a good-looking guy for Eragon even if it meant increasing Eragon's age by a couple of years.

I'm no chick to judge this but the guy playing Eragon is hot?

Well apparantly he's a model, if that counts.

The damn well should, I'm going to go on a killing spree if they put in an 18 year old "model"!

Well they could be merciful and just make him a super cute child in AoS and wait for him to be fangirl material in GE.

He's supposed to look stupid in GE. Maybe in PG.

Uh huh. And they're seriously going to make their male lead look stupid?

No, they're going to "pull a Peter Parker" and include an emonated Nathaniel performing a jazz strut down a sidewalk.

If they wanted to stay true to the books, they would make him look stupid (as in clothing and hair) in GE.
