As much as I shudder to think of the possiblility I don't think I'll be able to sleep at night if I think there's a chance that a fourth one is coming.
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

Welll... realistically, it has been mentioned as a trilogy too many times for a fourth book to not be seen as a sell out. Besides, Star Wars was a trilogy.

Yeah, there's no way he can extend it, although he could do "more books in the same universe... with the same characters". Trilogy of four (and five) has already been done.

They would suck anyway, so there would be no point for them. He would probably incorporate starwars into them and send the dragon to space or something else gay.

Watch...a prequel trilogy...starting with Morzan as a boy, where he comes across Brom/Brom's father and realizes he will be a dragonrider. Or Galbatorix, maybe.

The three ships. Kinda like the Mayflower and all those.
