He invaded Iraq with enough troops to defeat a withered army, but not enough to maintain order in a country of millions.
Big tactical mistake. Like very big. If he had done that right, no one would have uttered a word in protest. Iraq was supposed to throw out post vietnam inertia and show the world the US is still king.
Instead it exposes it's worst weakness: The lack of willingness to accept casualties. How many americans have died, some 2000. How many Iraqis have died? 500,000+
