the sun makes mine lighter. its quite good because i cant dye my hair in the winter without bleaching it first but in summer i can use those ones that wash out after a few months/weeks.Post wrote: What? Where? How?

It's because the gene is recessive, and there were never very many of them to begin with.
Blonde is recessive, but stronger than red. If two brunettes have blondes in their families, chances are that their child could be blonde.
If, instead of having blondes in their family they had redheads, their kid probably wouldn't be a redhead.
This is very odd, as if a redhead has a child with a blonde, the child will probably be a redhead.
