Oh my god, I hate reaching that point.
I think I stopped just a little before that point when I was ten... :D

Just started on Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. I found it in the town library after work and sat there for like two hours enjoying it, but they've got this new computerised checkout system and I didn't want to make an idiot out of myself (I was pretty tired) so I just read as much as I could there and then. I may go back tomorrow and see if I can't get through another few chapters.
Loved To Kill a Mocking Bird. Few books can be described "beautiful" and this was one of them. As there are some who haven't read it:

I particularly loved the part where Scout stands on Boo Radley's porch and sees everything from his point of view. Also, completely loved Atticus, Jem and Scout. Wonderful characters.

Very good indeed.

Finished The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Great book.
Never liked The Alchemist much. Too philosophical.

Meh. I liked that bit.

Looking for Alaska - Josh Green

I must say this book surprised me. I really like it, despite a fair bit of predictability.
The Red Pyramid (The Kane Trilogy) - Rick Riordan.

^_^ Awesome!
Re-reading Golem's Eye and Ptolemy's Gate in honour of RoS's arrival! :)
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.

It gets better after you get passed the random modern words this translator throws in and the really Zen Buddhist style of writing proverbs. My favourite is "Why aren't we screaming drunks". these are words to live by

Chrno Crusade ~ Manga by Daisuke Moriyama, hell yeah.
Also, The Alienist ~ Caleb Carr. Mindblowing, mostly because of the psychological reasoning.

After reading AOS and GE, I've changed my mind and I now think GE is better than AOS. Though not by much.
