Read the beach by Alex Garland or Perfume by Patrick Susskind then compare the writing to Eragon, all I'm saying.David Cat wrote:I KNOW RIGHT!!!! IT'S AWESOME!!!!Nero wrote:WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!??!nathanielandbartimaeus wrote:Try Eragon. It is not too bad.
No, his writing is pretty poor. But the story isn't. I know a lot of it has been copied from Star Wars, but since I have not seen/read Star Wars, it doesn't seem like a repeat to me.Asmoral_The_Resolute wrote:Read the beach by Alex Garland or Perfume by Patrick Susskind then compare the writing to Eragon, all I'm saying.David Cat wrote:I KNOW RIGHT!!!! Oh come on, you can't expect the man to invent an actual new language, that's reserved for REALLY NERDY things like Star Trek :PFuzzyLobster wrote:Also the way he writes languages is all wrong. His languages are more of codes with new words substituting old ones instead of having a different structure. Not too important; but it's a point that's really bothered me.
