I haven't read any by him; the few people I've talked to weren't very impressed.

His Digital Fortress is ok. I got a good mark in English on a test for it.
The Da Vinci Code so far is exciting.
I think they didn't like his ideas. But I didn't like the movie very much; stopped half way through.
Take it from me, the Dan Brown books are very good. Whatever he writes is completely original. U might know the controversy surrounding Da Vinci code. The other 3 books too very unique & very thrilling. Read it & see. I am sure u'll will love it.

I've read all of them. They're very good at ending every chapter on a cliffhanger to stop you putting them down, but they're not actually very good. Try re-reading one once you've read it and know the whole story. Zzzzz.

Ummm, are you saying Dan Brown's ORIGINAL? He stole his ideas from all sorts of books that I in fact have read, they just aren't mainstream views so he capitalized on that fact.

Just finished the Chrysalids by John Wyndham. Awesome book. It's quite thought provoking and a great story. And my summative essay was awesome. *Hoping for good mark*

CAUTION!!! SPOILER'S WARNING FOR DAN BROWN BOOKS!!!
OK, ur warned. Ppl who hope to read the Dan Brown book(s) or are reading it, jump this post unless u want ur reading time to go in vain. I repeat, you are warned!

Which story book states Jesus is married? And what abt antimatter, fake meteorites, the digital fortess machine (whatever it is called), Priory of Sion (is that right?), would-be Pope's getting kidnapped & murdered etc etc. His books are famous mainly cause they are different & interesting. And abt the ideas being present in some other book, well which book is completely original? Esp. books which don't deal with fantasy?
I agree, reading it the second time is sort of boring as these books thrive on surprises. But that does'nt bother me. I read Da Vinci & Angels & Demon's twice. More than the cliff hanger ending's it's the information which attracts me.

Some of the stuff in them is quite funny if you're a history and art buff. But in a slight way.

Anyway, when's the third one coming out?

The movie for Angels and Demons has been postponed cause of the writer's strike.

Yep. House is being postponed to late Janurary because stupid stiffs can't give their essantial writers at least 5000 dollars more in annual income. It'll cost em less then what the strike will do.
The third is out either 2008 or 2009. I'll check.
The third what? Robert Langdon adventure?

I'm reading or have recently read:
The Last Continent - Terry Pratchett
Espedair Street - Iain Banks
Out From Boneville - Jeff Smith (technically, a graphic novel. Go read it, it's awesome)
