For English we're reading Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne...

I'm trying to read Fatal Fashione by Karen Harper...It's a really good book, I just don't have enough time.

Lord of Flies... Fanfiction...

Some things were never meant to exist.

Tell me it doesn't have slash pairings. Please.

I re-read everything when I get bored. And even with a collection of 100 or more novels, I still manage to get bored. Any other suggestions?
Ralph/Piggy. With only passages from the books. It's horrid. That's what I meant about

Of course, it couldn't be anything BUT slash if there were pairings.

Welcome to our demented realm Katie! :welcome:

I prefer Jack's tribe/pig (sow). It's pretty much canon, lot more disturbing, and it's soo Freud.

Edit: Also, Simon/island. I read an amazing fic about that a couple years ago, when I was doing the book.

Harlequin Romance- The Listener

And when I get guilty/embarrassed of reading such trash: La Belle bête by Marie-Claire Blais.

Yeah, I do that too.

Mad Dogs - Robert Muchamore

Part of the CHERUB series, if anyone knows 'em.

By the Way, I saw a book called the Amber Spyglass (or was it the Golden Compass?) and then the other books in the series were the Subtle Knife and His Dark Materials. I think. I dunno. Can anyone tell me if they're worth reading? That and if I've mixed up the books from two different series?

Also, Lord of the Flies... My dad had his old copy, I'm guessing it's good enough to bother reading?

The trilogy is His Dark Materials. The first is Northern Lights (or The Golden Compass if you're in the US), then there's The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass, all by Philip Pullman. If you haven't read them already, why the aitch not? They are some of the best books written in the past 12 years, and are a fantastic read.
Indeed. Paradise Lost - John Miklton, The Canterbury Tales, and Animal Farm. I just finished 1984. I've taken to reading classics lately.

Isn't Paradise Lost like 7 million pages long?

Yep, twelve books in total, plain text.
How did you stand reading all of them books? I mean, if they were exciting like Bartimaeus, then that would be more comfortable, but you all know the classics...
5th time I'm reading Bartimaues Trilogy. I just finished Amulet of Samarkand yestarday, starting Golem's Eye today.
Good Lord, I did a typo. World's gonna end.

And Paradise Lost, the copy I have is smaller than LotR.
