Too Many Women? -Marcia Guttentag

Sex ratios are surprisingly a very fascinating subject.

i just read the summary, It's amazing how much a society is affected by a surplus/shortage of women.
wrote: They looked at early Medieval Europe (high sex ratio) vs later Medieval Europe (low sex ratio). They observed that chivalry, romantic love, and idealized vision of women prevailed during the early Medieval Europe. And, such values progressively disappeared as the sex ratio dropped.
We owe entire bodies of literature like King Arthur to the fact that there were more women that men in that particular time! Medieval Times would not exist as we know it!
I'm currently reading 'Lethal Inheritance' by Tahlia Newland. It involves demons which feed on negative human emotion for goodness sake! What awesomeness is this :) you guys should definately look it up.

I'm so excited to read that - especially since I've started to get on a bit of a mystery novel kick.

Her writing is good and the characters are great. But it somewhat quite like an Agatha Christie novel. Better but I wouldn't call it a classic novel like some reviewers did.
And oh, reading Anne of Avonlea - L. M. Montgomery

The Emperor's Finest - Sandy Mitchell

Re-reading it. It was my first Commissar Cain novel (I've only read 1 other) and I love it to death. It's filled with humor and has great action parts. There is also quite a lot of romance in it. When I first read it, it just seemed like "Oh, Cain, you Stud you~", but after reading more Commissar Cain books, I think there's more too it than just that and-...well, I won't spoil it~

This book and it's series are based off the 'Warhammer: 40,000' series. A very grim-dark, sci-fi universe filled with 'only war'. At first I thought to 'warn' readers of this post that it may be too violent, but when I think about it, the Bartimaeus Trilogy is almost just as bleak and violent! XD
The book has plenty of action, but it also has humor, romance, heroism, and plenty of witty remarks and thoughts by our hero, and narrator, Commissar Cain.
Commissar Cain is a witty, apathetic, fun sort of anti-hero Just like Bartimaeus, now that I think about it. So, if you're a fan of sarcastic, witty characters, then I recommend you check out the 'Emperor's Finest'. I would give it 4 1/2-5 stars!

-You can find the e-book at the 'Black Library'.com http://www.blacklibrary.com/warhammer-4 ... t-The.html
-Or even at your local bookstore if you're lucky!

"When in deadly danger,
When beset by doubt,
Run in little circles,
Wave your arms and shout."
