The Adventures of Dr. McNinja: Night Powers - Christopher Hastings (with an introduction by Kate Beaton, and a bonus story written by some other guys that features a hilarious heavily fictionalized version of Canada).

It's epic.

Also, I just found this site: http://www.humblebundle.com/ Basically you can get 8 ebooks, pay whatever price you want, and decide how much goes to charity, how much to the authors, and how much to support the site. It's got Neil Gaiman and Cory Doctorow among others, it looks pretty cool.
Dr McNinja ftw.

Yeah, been wondering whether to sign up for this Humble Bundle. I've got way too many partially read books on my Kindle already, though.

Also, I like how the current standings for the top contributors includes the following:

3.
@wilw's clown sweater
$242.01
4.
@wilw
$242.00
5.
Not @wilw
$241.99

I love that book, the super-secret Canadian story was great! My favourite was the dual-wielding line.

Why is Dark Horse Comics better than any other comics publisher.

Reading research papers on cancer. Man they are complex. And it is surprising to see so many therapies present out there (in thousands I believe) which effectively lead to a decrease in tumour size (of specific cancers). But everything is either in the clinical trial stage or have just been tested on animals.
That apart, I am reading:
Mortal Fear - Robin Cook
"If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination ... no more men!" - Einstein
"I like quoting Einstein. Know why? Because nobody dares contradict you." - Studs Terkel.

I'm at the part where one of the girls is cutting. Kinda squicked out....

But JKR is so good at description. Her little town of Pagford is amazingly detailed.

I don't know what possesses me to buy books on my field when I am on a vacation.

That's why it's your field. Because you're interested in it even when you don't have to be.

Exactly.

Reading "The Woman Who Died A Lot" by Jasper Fforde, because apparently a bunch of my favourite authors released books while I was busy studying. Also working through my Chem and Archaeology textbooks.
