Wait, that actually exists? He's right, that is epic.

Marathon Man - William Goldman (by the guy who wrote The Princess Bride, apparently it's really good)

A Dance with Dragons - George R. R. Martin (gave up on the library and just bought the darn thing, so much for self-control)

No Homeland is book 1 right? Now Ive read Exile and Sojourn and currently Im just begining the Crystal Shard (book 4) and skimming the parts that dont have Drizzt.

The first 3 are great stuff! Though I got really frustrated at times. This morning I even drew a little pic of Drizzt, his colors and good looks make him fun to draw
My brother's trying to get me to read those.

Atlas Shrugged -Ayn Rand. Do I want to read this? No. Is there the faint chance that I could win thousands of dollars by writing an essay on it? Yes.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Victor Hugo

Is this competition based on the quality of the essay or is it just a prize draw, cuz if it's the second one, just bullcabbage it <_<

The first one, sadly. There's a judging committee and everything. Plus it's run by the Ayn Rand Institute, so they probably want me to gush about how awesome and relevant it is. On the plus side, there's 84 winners each year.

There are essay competitions that are picked by a draw? That's BS.

Well I don't know, I never enter them. I figured that some competitions might be chosen by draw *shrug*

A Game of Thrones. I'm on page 421 and it's damn good so far (it doesn't feel like it's 800 pages long, that's how entertaining it is!)

Haha, didn't know there were so many fans of the books here =P I've finished reading A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings. I'm currently a couple of hundred pages into A Storm of Swords. Pretty epic series so far, I just can't stop reading for some reason!
