Original or the abridged? I nowadays mostly read abridged classics as I never have the time or patience for the original (except in cases where the original is real good; I do try reading them first).
I read the abridged versions of classics when I was little. Now I find them to be annoying - always leave out good bits, and parts that are truly important. Once upon a time in America taught me that.

Now I always get unabridged.

That is actually good. =D

Also hilariously difficult to pronounce. I saw Iain Banks talking about it at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, and between him and the interviewer-type-person I think they managed about four different pronunciations...
How far through are you?

Finished it. As for pronounciation, I usually go Leh - DESH - Ay
Yeah, pretty awesome but confusing. O.o I'll have to reread it at some point, because I'm fairly certain I missed quite a few of the important plot points.

That's another pronunciation for my list, then..

I haven't had a chance to re-read it yet. I know there was stuff I only picked up on on rereads of Excession and Matter, though.

Castaways of the Flying Dutchman - Brian Jacques

Just learned that he died earlier in February. A real shame RIP.

I'm also disappointed that the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman Series wasn't completed before his death..
Knight Errant - John Jackson Miller

It's a Star Wars book. He also wrote the incredibly-awesome Knights of the Old Republic comics.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
Pygmy - Chuck Palahniuk
Please tell me I'm not the only one who was amused yet mildly disturbed by this book.

Also currently reading A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore.

Haven't read it. But A Dirty Job is great.

Last Chance to See: In the Footsteps of Douglas Adams - Mark Carwardine with Stephen Fry
Now with more pretty pictures! And more endangered animals. :(

Boneshaker - Cherie Priest
Steampunk and Zombies. Interesting combination, not sure how well it's working so far.

Also,
Sophie's World ~ Jostein Gaarder.

"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story".
Microbial Biochemistry - Gottschalk
and
Fermentation Processes - Stanbury

They are annoying to read. Especially the second one.

Is this for fun, or are you reading them for a class?
***A LAST NOTE FROM YOUR NARRATOR***
I am haunted by humans.

- The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak
I can only possibly read some general science books, books on history and politics and genomics-based (or similar) books for fun. Not biochemistry and industrial stuff.
It is for my exams. >_>

Ouch. Good luck!

Reading lots, because it seems like life drawing and books are the only things I can properly concentrate on lately.

Also reading quite a few comics/manga's lately, and I've got a question for the readers of Sandman: The story at the beginning of The Doll's House anthology, why's it there? It doesn't seem to be connected to the rest of the book at all.
