Heh, never said I'd actually read it. The crossover just sounds so unbelievably awesome.

I'm planning to start reading it too. Since you say it is so awesome. I do read xkcd on the days I remember (which is most of the times). But yeah, I need to google some computer words or some terms which are called differently here. And some brand names which I haven't heard of.

I think that is officially the weirdest thing I've seen in this thread.
Reminds me of the kids who used to think if you swallowed a plant seed the plant would start growing inside you.

Maybe they were on to something... :P

"That can definitely happen. This did not surprise me," Horovitz told AOL Health. "You can inhale a seed of a plant or sprouting plant and it can cause bronchial obstruction. I've pulled food out of people's lungs before."
A patient who has inhaled either a piece of food or a seed that sprouts will have incessant coughing, shortness of breath and sometimes collapse of the lung, according to Horovitz.
Um okay, then why didn't they think to check that before he was stuck in the hospital subject to cancer tests for two weeks? Especially since it looks pretty visible on that X-ray there.

I'm sure I've seen such things with plants in lungs before, and not just in fiction.

Weird: I'm not sure whether to call this a colossal waste of time, or say that these guys are my heroes.

Not weird, but cool: Sooo, where do y'all feel like going in 100 years: Venus, the Moon, or the rock that just might kill us all?

Annnnd now I have to live to 114 to see it happen.

What sort of judgement is that?

Good old china...
wrote:BEIJING - The end may now be in sight for frustrated drivers who have endured a nine-day, 100 km- (60 miles) long traffic jam on a highway leading into Beijing, state media said on Monday.

The snarl-up has been caused by roadworks, which are not expected to finish for another month, state news agency Xinhua said on its website (www.xinhuanet.com).

Drivers, mainly of freight-carrying trucks, have had to kill time playing cards, and have complained that local people are taking advantage of them by selling food at inflated prices, the report said.

The traffic stretched back all the way into the nearby provinces of Hebei and Inner Mongolia, it added.

But state television said the situation had now "basically returned to normal."

While China is spending billions of dollars on infrastructure such as roads and railways, it is still struggling to keep up with the demands of the booming economy, and traffic jams are common.
