And Aero is what?Post wrote:And Rekhyt, are you kinding me? Aero is what to XP what XP is to 2000.
I never said faster speeds was the only reason we changed to Mac...The fact that I had to formatt our computer and reinstall XP about once a month was the biggest factor. And there really isn't any software that I use, that doesn't have a Mac equivilent.wrote:wow, you have faster speeds, what a reason to change to macs :rolleyes the only trouble is the programs that would have been slow to start up take no time at all the start up on a mac because they don't work on macs. Very silly, you should have just upgraded to a much better PC.
:D It's got tons of compatability issues- no sound hardware acceleration, missing or unreleased drivers, various prorams and games that do not run or just regularly crash. Basically, like I said before, it's Xp with a facelift... :lol:wrote:Can someone please tell me what exatly is so great about vista?

Why on earth don't you already have them?Post wrote: Besides that, you get the next generation of pretty much everything. IE 7, Windows media player 11...
So it's basically Direct X 10, IE 7, and a ram eating desktop? Oh, and widgets?...I mean Gadgets.:lol:Post wrote:Aero? The Vista desktop theme? The one which wants 1 GB RAM and a decent Graphix card? Looks good.
Vista has the next generation of Direct X, #10. Have you seen Crysis? It can bitch slap any PS3 game. Besides that, you get the next generation of pretty much everything. IE 7, Windows media player 11...
The software and games that regularly crash are pretty much outdated. Recent releases and patched ones don't crash. And besides, Vista is young, We'll get all the Drivers by Summer.

They don't...We've had ours for about 3 months, and It's crashed once...And that might not have even been it's fauld because my brother was on it, and he always manages to screw things up.Abel wrote: macs dont crash.
much...

Well I'm sure it's not good for it...But then again, its a mac... :DAbel wrote: does standing on it/dropping it effect that?
