DC has a point. Maybe not for Sent, but for non-family members. Like us.

Since most of y'all have family members who have seen the movie, I assume y'all might have done too. Is the movie better than the book or worse? I don't want to expect too much in case it is really bad-like Eragon. I might see it this weekend.

Less fawning between Edward and Bella (who occasionally has a spine!) and stuff actually happens during, and not just at the end (granted not much but...).

The only unbiased source (i.e. non-Twilight fangirl) I have who's seen it, who was dragged to see it by her younger sister, a) thought it was crap and b) laughed out loud in the cinema at the sparkly vampires (for which she has my eternal admiration << ).

I used to laugh at the glitter thing too, but it grows on me the more I see it. I just wished the sparkle was more...rainbow colored. >.>

Same here. I am a twilight fangirl too, but not to the extent of my friends. It was I who coaxed most (all in fact- barring one) of my friends to read the book & I deplore my actions now. You should see them talk about Edward Cullen. You would think no other guy existed in the world. He's perfect, he's hot, he's a dream guy, he's handsome, he's the best-I could type a whole page & still not fit in all the adjectives they have used (so far) to describe him. So I started feigning deafness whenever they started talking about that guy & luckily for me, it's working. I like the books a lot, but not because of Edward Cullen. I like the story.

I hate love stories too, but Twilight is different. The story is good. So what if it is a love story? You know, some people just despise fantasy books (like Bartimaeus) & scorn those who read it.
