there should be a new book

For the sake of it, I'd like to point out seven is the number of completion.

Not that I want seven books, I just want a bit more information on the magic world.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

lol that's true...but that's a bit much so I didn't mention that above.

However, it'd make an interesting twist if Nat became a djinn because his spirit was (for some strange reason) hurtled off to the Other Place instead of wherever human spirits go. Perhaps magicians become djinn because they have summoned them or something...now if THAT happened, there'd be enough going on to make another trilogy (or a quartet if you insist on 7 books)

But another book would defy the definition of "TRILOGY" in "Bartimeaus TRILOGY."
Tri meaning THREE, of course, and tri just so happens to be in TRIlogy.
There, all spelled out.

Pfft, the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy is quite possibly the best trilogy ever written. It's five books long.

I will never read that book after the movie... I don't care how different the two are.. It can't possibly be good.

I still don't want Nat to come back in anyway, except a flashback or even a dream.

You got me there, Sentynel. But Douglas Adams was all about randomness and silliness.

I don't think there should be anything dated after Ptolemy's gate, but there could always be another story about Bartimaeus' previous masters.

It'd probably be a bit bland though. It is a trilogy afterall.

Well, we can kind of see hints to what happened to Kitty on Stoud's website.

That was my theory that everyone shot down, by the way.

There's a section about the history of magic written by Kitty...

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Maybe she got Prof. Binns fired and has taken over History of Magic.

Why are you mixing the worlds of Nat and Harry?

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

I really think there should, you know. But it couldn't be in the trilogy, so maybe it should be called the Kitty chronicles. lol.
no sequel. That would mess it all up. Jon is writing something else and he said that he might write some short stories in Bart's world. He's such a nice guy, by the way :djinni:
life is odd. you come in, you grow, you shrivel, and you leave.
i mean what's the point????
I would like another book. Maybe it could tell other stories in Barts past, like the Pytolemy chapters in PG. I enjoyed that . . .

Yeah, I think it'd be cool to do more on Bart's history, like the days he was with Ptolemy, and how he got the names, Sakhr al'Jinni and Ngorso the Mighty, possibly talking about Solomon and Gilgamesh. Just goin through history like a timeline possibly..

short stories would be cool...
so is the history from here the same as the history in bart's/nat's world?
wow, i really need to convince myself that other worlds don't exist

And there should be another book and Nat should come back. Mr. Stroud led himself to ruination when he killed Nat.

And Queezle. Queezle was cool.
Look, Queezle.
I wanted Nat to come back too, but that might ruin the trilogy. Maybe a sequel would ruin it as well. I don't know. But it is ok if the trilogy had a prequel right? Look at LotR, it had The Hobbit, and I haven't met anyone who complained about it...so far.

Oh, I know! Maybe Stroud can do a book version of Bart's Journal! You know, Bart's Journal from JS's official site, except it's during one of Bart's past moments (I'm not sure if the one on the site is a past moment as well though). :hmm:
