I don't really think so.

That would ruin something, like say Buried Fire.

I think that a Bart Encloypedia like JKR plans on doing with Harry Potter would be nice. It could include short stories of his other adventures, more depth into those three years with Nat, ect.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

That would be very interesting...I hope he does at least something like it.

I do a well.

Has he ever mentioned something like that?

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

I think that in questions, he's hinted that he might tell some of Barti's other stories...I don't think he's mentioned anything along the line of a Barti Encyclopedia.

Maybe someone could suggest it?

We should...Although I'm sure he's at least considered it. It wouldn't hurt to try though.

Well, then, have at the suggesting.

Any new book concerning the Bartimaeus trilogy will be great i think.

But not a sequel.

YES! No sequel...that would ruin it.

Though if he felt inclined to do a short short story in the Enclycopedia, I wouldn't mind.

Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

You mean like a small story on what happened afterwards?
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

Nah, just an encyclopedia, with hints at past stories before Bart met Nathaniel.
I want Stroud to write another book. It doesn't have to be about Bartimaeus, but I don't want him to just think he can get away with not writing anything more!

Like another book in general, or another book featuring at least one of the characters in the trilogy?

I think the questions forum, he said that he needed to get away from Barts world for a little while and write something else. So I think he is currently writing something.

I definitly think there should be another book, because I want to see what's gonna happen to Bartimaeus!! Jon better or I won't like him no more.. <_<

Yep, like random stories and maybe more development of minor major characters like Jane Farrar.

as long as it stays true to the original sotry concept and all that.

I don't think there should be another book...The ending to Ptolemy's Gate was already brilliant enough and I think our imaginations should suffice to fill in whatever happened after that. Perhaps, if many people are interested in Stroud's take on what happened, there can be a short story that can be published in a literary magazine, but otherwise, I think three is enough. After all, three IS the magic number :D
