Nero knows me :D
Fuzzy, clearly, needs a little work.

Though Phoenixes are my favorite fictional animal.
So, sexy in any sense.
Still need work :D

Hello, this is my first post here (after lurking for quite some time) and I was ecstatic when I learnt that there was going to be more Bartimaeus!! <33

I've been trying to get more news, and I came across a listing in the bookdepository:
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/97 ... rtimaeus-4

I'm assuming this "book 4" refers to The Ring of Solomon?? It'll be hardback, published November 4th 2010.

There also seems to be listings of reprints of the trilogy?? No image covers yet.
:welcome:

Yeah, the American cover's hanging around somewhere, haven't seen the British one yet.

Yay!
AoS was nice in that it was short, but properly so - it didn't seem things were skipped, nor that too little was there. It was awesome.
GE seemed a tad too long, but I didn't mind a bit.
PG was also properly long.

Also: Can we get a countdown now, with that (albeit unconfirmed) date?

I think it is better to wait for the confirmed date. Otherwise, guests who come would take it as a definite release date. Later it would seem as if the forum was giving the wrong information.

One of the things holding us back at the moment is that Stroud said the UK edition would be out in October, and the US edition in November, but all the release dates say November 2 at the moment.

So what, should we go to his house and threaten him with indefinate confinement unless he clarifies when the release date is, or do we take the less than reasonable option and wait for information. I think I have a bottle around here somewhere....................

I think the US novel at least, not the audio, is a definate Nov 2nd. All the places I looked up (B&N, Amazon) say so
New Journal

This is seriously the first time I've looked at it in over a month. What excellent timing.

Anyway, the publishing industry still thinks Canada is not a separate nation.

And they think India doesn't even exist ;_;.
The only thing I'm getting in one site is that it will release here on 30th November. Even later than in the US. Admins, please keep the Ban Afrit busy till I read the book.

Weird, I subscribed to his journal using Google Reader's auto-subscribe, but didn't get a notification for this entry.
Grrr, I was subscribed to the main page instead of the journal. Well that explains it.

Hello! I've been summoned by your mass email! I heard about the new book but hadn't seen the cover until now. It looks stunning! Also, I want to say 'I told you so'. I speculated here like a year ago that Stroud's new project was a Bartimaeus prequel and no one believed me. ;)

I read that somewhere, too. His mails from at least a year ago mentioned a "Bartimaeus Bible".

So you were right all along. :good:
