New Line can't do anything right.

Everyone knows Jackson is going to do it after Lovely Bones.

I heard that he agreed to do the hobbit because so many people were talking about it wouldn't be the same without him. They are supposed to start filming soon.

You heard wrong.

Read this:

Their daring, nerve and chivalry

SAM RAMI AS DIRECTOR?

Seriously?

He should stay with Spider-man.

I love the Hobbit book...if they do bring a film version out, they best not destroy it :nathaniel:

agreed. Though they most likely will, just like every other book they turn into a movie!

hmm, i agree almost completely...i actually enjoyed peter jacksons version of LOTR's. I think he did a great job in bringing all the characters to the movie screen. :ninja4:

Indeed, i think Gandalf and Aragorn were very believable on screen...well as believable as possible in a fantasy film...

Yes, LOTR is one exception. But I hate how they leave out so much detail. The worst movie I ever saw though, was Eragon, practically a summary of the book, or something you would read on the back cover
AIONIOS
I must be the only one who thinks only the first LotR movie was good, the last two seemed 'off' to me somehow.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Good as the huge battles in Two Towers and Return of the King are, they don't stand up to repeat watching as well as Fellowship. Also, Return of the King missed off the whole return to Hobbiton problem. I shall never forgive that omission. Still brilliant films, though.

No offence to Tolkien fans...maybe i am not intelligent enough, but i found Tolkiens description of the environment too much...It did almost bore me to tears at some points...

Aye. And small print.

It's what makes it so immersive at times, though.
