It was the best. I loved it. It was this book that convinced me to go out and find somewhere to talk about it.
I said that it is the best!

It was the Darkest of the trio; Well written, John was a very captivating character, Bartimaeus was at his best against the merc. It introduces the mercenary, Hopkins and Honorius, it's the best for me.

It didn't start the merc, he was in AoS.

I haven't read GE in a while, but I would say that I enjoyed AoS and PG much more.

Hmm, AoS was seemed most comical to me. But yes, GE is the one I liked the least as well.

I liked AoS the least, Nat was kinda childish and annoying

I agree, I liked GE the least, but even then it was still really good! I think Bart was his best in it though.

I think in Ptolemy's Gate how much damage the human world can do to spirits and we saw Barti at his weakest, and I think it was great to see a different side of Barti, not that it's cool when he's weak.

^I agree, that could easily be like a spin-off series...

Thought it was brilliant, but it was the equal of AoS to me. I love PG, except the end where Nat dies, but there you go.

where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."
