On a side note: The Potter sig and avatar make me cringe.

On another side note: Good. I'll keep it.

All praise Post, the live action flop!

The DiR trailer made me happy. It looks OK, and Merriman Lyon is PERFECT. I think it will be fine.

Live action flop? Do I get cheap matrix stunts?

Yes. But you keep belly-flopping as well making it quite literal...

If they did it right, it'll be quite good for a kid's fantasy film.

Eh, P's Labyrinth and Bartimaeus have next to nothing in common. PL is arthouse through and through while Batimaeus is clearly meant to be a popcorn-munching blockbuster. It has more in common with HP and Narnia. Thought the HDM trailers were absolutely wonderful. Squeed at Scoresby and Coulter and others. My only crit is Pan's voice, too girly sounding.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I wasn't making parallels between the two movies. I was asking about the budget, as I knew it was on the lower end but found it quite enjoyable.

HDM trailers, are terrible. Well, actually my only complaint is the talking animals...they look funny. That and I don't believe that it should be made into a movie when better books are out there.

I'm excited about Stardust.

You could borrow my trench coat, I'm not going to any conventions this summer. :D It's beige, not black though.

Oooo, the Trenchcoat Mafia.

I haven't even read HDM, so I won't see the movie.

Bourne Ultimatum looks pretty cool, action with hardly any plot kicks ass.

I'm excited for the Bourne Ultimatum.

But back on topic....I don't even think it'll come out in 2009. After all, Artemis Fowl was scheduled to come out orginally, I think in 2002 and it's coming out next year.

ARTEMIS FOWL IS COMEING OUT?

They'll ruin it.
Look, Queezle.

Yes.

They combined books 1 & 2 and added a new ending.

I thought the trailer for 30,000 B.C.(?) looked better than the one for Bourne Ultimatum. I think that's the name, but it has wooly mammoths in it.

Oh did they get all the actors that the author wanted? Like Winona Ryder and Jason Statham?

Casting is still going on.

I have a feeling it'll be delayed till 2009.

WHAT?! I love the AF series!!! How could they do that?! :nathaniel:

. . . it's gonna be like 'Eragon' all over again . . .

But it's usually better if the movie takes a different spin on it. Sometimes. It might end up like Lemony Snicket.
