Though you could techincally count this as fantasy, I do love to read myths.

I've read the Odessey.

And I've read many of Shakespear's plays.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Shakespeare makes me go squee. From that little snippet, I don't think I like Poe.

He had a weird life.

Though, I do love Anna-Belle Lee.

Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Poe? Then what will you think of Elliot?

"I will show you fear in a handful of dust."

I can't judge Elliot as I haven't read much of him.

I suppose I could, but it wouldn't be fair.

What do you think of Guest? Dickens? Melville?

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Eliot's less direct, but he's not my favourite. Plath, Hughes and e.e. cummings are nice. Chaucer is good for laughs, but not too accessible because of the language. (it's in Middle English).

Dickens is rather verbose isn't he.

Oh Cummings!

Has anyone read Anne of Green Gables.

Annoying girl, she was.

The Raven, yes.

I personally, though not a poem, liked the Tell-Tale Heart.

And the Cask of Amontantdio.

Can't spell it.

Darn.

I doubt you're read Jane Austen.

She's more of a girl book writer..

Pride and Prejiduce? The all out war over a guy? *snort* No.

If you like Horror, read H.P. Lovecraft.
And don't mention Jane Austen. I had a teacher in Grade 7 who loved her.

Books never frighten.

Yeah, but if you like hearing about giant Old Ones with tentacles eating innocents, read Lovecraft.

I'm a girl, I can like Austen if I want.

But right now still working on the Pimpernel books.
