Go post that in the general chat section. :D
I wish I were a cat-dragon

That makes perfect sense.rubberchickenben wrote: No. I think resilience is a kind of anti-magic. It only involves seeing essence/auras and protection from magical attacks, so if human could make detonations they would have to be part essence like the djinn and therefore vulnerable to silver/iron. Besides, if essence explains the Resistance's powers, the djinn would be able to hurt them fine, as they hurt each other.
On to my strange thought: when spirits do magic, they are making an attack out of essence, so that explains their getting tired. A detonation, for example, would be an explosive (don't ask me how ;)) shard of essence that is expelled from the being. This would explain why smaller entities can't make detonations, because if they do, they will not have enough essence left to retain a stable form and will start to decompose as poor Barti did in PG. The shard of essence, after exploding and causing whatever damage it caused, returns to the other place, where it is then "healed" back onto the djinni who fired it.
So their essence grows? Weird!Dansariki wrote: Well it's just a small amount of essence.
And why not?
If they're a creature of of essence, they must gain new essence to heal their wounds, just as we get new tissue.
