Well, like I say:

Those who think they know everything, annoy those of us who do.

It doesn't really apply, but I love the slogan.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Amen.

Those fundamentalists need to learn that the rest of the world's mission in life is not to whorship the devil and convert them.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

I mean, come on I'm a Christian and I disagree with them.

There's something wrong when your culture thinks it's going too far.

No, no Ianna, you're probably just as evil as the rest of us who have functioning judgement centres in our brains.

Ok, that was rude, but seriously, they get mad when someone else tries to convert THEM, but they also get mad when people refuse to be converted. Could they learn to show just a little bit of tolerance please? Got over the fact that you're not the only people in the universe.

Was that last you're directed at me?

Anyway, I don't even try to convert people. I mean, I'll take my friends to church and invite them to Youth Group, but I don't want to pressure anyone to make a life altering decision. Especially if it's to please someone else.

So....yeah.

Of course it's not directed at you!

I meant the people who yell at you and say that you're absolutely wrong to whorsip another religion. The people who keep talking about how their better than you because of their religion.

But honestly, I'm not saying they should be banned (I liked them before they ended crappy), why don't people try to ban His Dark Materials?

A crazy lady is in Georgia trying to ban Harry Potter and people swarm over Pokemon and such but....why not HDM?
Yep'

And I see you intolerant Christian fundementalist and raised you A Boeing 747 hurting towards the Pentagon as we speak.

Huh?

But come on the only thing I've seen that really speaks out against banning things that actually speak out against religion to a degree is the Da Vinci Code.

Otherwise, it's been stupid.

So why don't these people actually pick something non-hypocritical to support their cause, like Daughter of God?

Which is actually pretty intresting to read.

*blushes* Sorry, I kind of have a tendancy to offend people online because I write the way I speak.

How about those documents from ancient times that were found "The Gospel Of Judas"? I would think that they'd be a lot more upset about those because tests were run and they're authentic. But it seems like they're just being ignored. (If you don't know what it is, just Google it. Not Wikipedia.)

Ianna, is your avatar actually how you look? (If you weren't a cartoon.)

With my hair not-so neat or straigtened?

Yep.

I know them. I have my own personal opinion on those, which I'd rather not get into if you don't mind, but even though my opinion might not be oh-so-positive, I don't want them banned.

I don't even care.

Because you can't ban something on religion.

That's predjuice.

AGAIN?

Laura Mallory, the mother who has been crusading since August 2005 to remove the Potter books from the County's school libraries, is set to appeal to the County's Superior Court the decision Georgia state made in December to keep the books on shelves.

Mallory said, "We will take a stand for truth, and pray God will touch the hearts of this generation." For the past year and a half, she has vehemently preached that the books indoctrinate children in witchcraft. She hasn't, however, actually read the books.

Mallory says she is poised to take legal action and has apparently received "significant donations" from "supporters" in aid of this.

Emerson's Comment: Ever seen a fly crash itself repeatedly into a transparent pane of glass, never quite getting the hint? Yeah.

That's from MuggleNET.

Yes, we will. I'll pray that you'll see the light, women. Geez, does she EVER QUIT?

Sorry, I'm just really ticked off.

Ianna and I thought this might be a good idea; we should write to her.

All of us at the Bartiforums, but if we do, NO SPAMMING OR FLAMING! We need to see if we can get an e-mail address (or normal address, Hell, she probably thinks that computers are evil :D ) and compose a letter. i'd love to see how (or if) she would respond.

Probably not - responding I mean.
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

Anyway, if we end up getting her address, whatever we write must be intelligent. No spamming, flaming, hate mail, etc.

I still haven't found it yet.

MuggleNet has her home phone number.

They tried to call her on MuggleCast, but didn't get through. So obviously there are ways to get through to her.

Yes, I am. ;) I really wonder if we write her a letter if she'll start protesting the books. If she does, that could do the trick to get more people to reading Bartimaeus books.
