Cool snake.
I want pictures.

Met someone once who had a fear of invasion by aliens.
Wonder how she felt about District 9 >.<

1 - Rejection. My friends and I figured out that the only reason I don't wear color anymore is because it brings too much attention to me, and by bringing attention to myself I face a higher chance of rejection. So yeah :/

2 - Going blind. Can't really explain it, except for that I've had really bad eyesight ever since I was a kid. And everything I do is completely dependent on my sight to see - Writing, reading, using the computer, surgery, automotive. Whenever I can't see, I can't breathe.

Why fear the inevitable? (Death) Anyways, it's not death we're all afraid of, it's the crippling period beforehand that really gets us. I'm personally not afraid of death, for some reason...I guess because it has to happen sometime, so why be afraid of it? It's like fearing you'll get a certain letter in the mail, or that a pet will run away...It's meant to happen, it happens to everyone, so why bother worrying about it so much?

I believe they're related, but I wouldn't eat that one if I were you. It's a fly agaric, which is very poisonous. (It is also hallucinogenic - reindeer can metabolise the poison, and thus can safely ingest the mushroom, and evidence suggests that if they eat sufficient quantities they do start to hallucinate. I have heard of shamans extracting the hallucinogen from reindeer urine, though I've no idea if that's accurate.)

Accurate or not, it does sound like something done, some where.

Death may suck, but I don't plan to be crippled, alone, and I don't care, know, believe, fear, or indeed need an afterlife, so I'm fine.

The thing about the woods at night is that if you stay still, anybody moving around is going to be making vastly more noise than you, and if you move slowly and carefully you'll be quiet enough to hear others moving around (though not quiet enough to avoid being heard yourself, of course).
The only creature I've ever encountered that moves quietly enough at night to be unheard is an owl, and they're designed in every way to be able to do that.
Jeez man, what are you doing in the woods at night? Assassinating people?

Assassinating people.

Hmm, most of you have spoken about some phobia. I can't really think of any. I am scared of quite a few things (like stray dogs chasing me-I have been chased 8 times by them & luckily, have survived every time), but nothing to categorize as phobia.

Wow.
Never been afraid of dogs, there were big ones around when I was little (when I was three, I got to ride a huge one that belonged to a neighbor :D).

Recently, I started getting really bad muscle cramps, where for no reason they freeze up, start to spasm, and hurt like hell. Once this happened while I was driving, and I couldn’t control acceleration or brake or anything. I managed to put on my hazards and move to the side with my other leg, but it was terrifying and very, very painful.

I am just afraid of stray dogs, not pet dogs.

And Luciene, you better check that out. Don't think it is anything, but still.

Stretch the muscle out and massage it. The quicker you do it the better. I get muscle cramps while sleeping fairly regularly. If I'm quick enough stretching it out the pain stops immediately. If I'm too slow, it's agonising, difficult to get rid of, and achy the next day.

I'm not scared of the appearance of mushrooms, but of eating them.
