That is absolutely hilarious. Is it somewhat like romance languages? I speak french and I can mostly understand written Spanish, even though they are quite different

I know spanish and can understand portuguese, and a bit of latin if I'm lucky. I think it's the same with nordic languages, I understand some written swedish and norwegian, and mist of flemish.

What for do you want to prove... oversätte sound like übersätte, which meant too full, but probably means translate (übersetzen). So...
What for do you want to translate sentences (from danish, I assume).

Huh. French isn't that popular after all. Looks like I'd better learn portuguese instead. Now that I think of it, why don't we learn it in school?
