Barti is Air and Fire. And it would explain the disruption he creates.

Why not? Quezzle was female. And I can't really see Ramuthra doing anything feminine. Even his name sounds guyish.

Maybe it's like Apocrypha. It ends in an "a" so we think it's a girl. I thought Apo was a girl for the longest time.

I know. Two months was it?

I thought of Ramuthua as a guy.

Yeah, probably. Well, funny story. My old French teacher, was pregnant, and was trying to pick a name. Well, she was talking to some guy, and she said she didn't want a certain name, because it ended in a(or something like that), and that made it sound like a girls name(mind you, it was a baby boy). Well, it turns out, the guy she was talking to, his name ended in a(or whatever it was)! It's not quite as funny now, but it was then...

Ramuthra's gender was probably decided by the magician who first shaped his/her essence into a recognizeable form.

Besides, I'm pretty sure that Nouda was a guy and his name ended in an 'a'.

I don't think Ramuthra was intelligent enough to be able to choose a gender.
Mind you, Stroud refers to Ramuthra as 'he'.

Didn't Nouda refer to himself as Lord Nouda?

Did he? I'll have to go read that again.

Yes, Nouda, does refer to himself as Lord Nouda.

And Lords are generally guys.

I think that the magician made that decision.

Or maybe, the spirit's sex is the same as the magician who first summons it. Didn't someone ask Jon this before?
Lady Nouda? :D

He would probably eat you limb by limb, for that...more painful. :D

Spirits don't actually have genders, it's just what fits their personality. Magicians can't control the spirits' personalities or they'd all be perfect servants - never questioning orders, never being annoying, never talking back, etc...

Yeah, there was a question on Ramuthra and Stroud called Ramuthra 'he' in the answer.

The gender is decided by the spirit.

See questions.
