Your idea is fine. I really like it. I have been thinking about it instead of studying. But its the damn FC paper tomorrow, so it doesn't matter much ;) .

I would have got distracted anyway. I had to study about Human Rights! And what article in the Constitution had right to freedom of speech, religion, association etc etc (for a change I regretted living in a country which has the world's largest written Constitution). And there was Finance which I didn't bother reading as my dad is a Chartered Accountant; I just asked him to explain everything. Boring paper.

I hope it is not a fake encounter.

I'm getting an error message, sorry. Who is this exactly?

Ditto.

So, why does India have the world's longest written constitution?

It is that idiot Ajmal Kasab. The 26/11 terrorist who was caught by the police when he tried to flee in a car & whose photograph was taken when he was shooting people in the railway station. I am just terribly angry that the country is wasting so much money on his security. And then he laughs at the 10 yr old girl who lost a leg because of him, when she comes to testify against him.
wrote:So, why does India have the world's longest written constitution?
Er, why? Because the Constitutional assembly which was formed to frame the Constitution made it big or maybe it had an eye for detail? They had public meetings for almost 3 years before drafting the Constitution & I suppose in a country as populated & diverse as India, if you take in everyone's views & ideas, you end up with a pretty huge thing?

Whoa. Sounds like a real nasty piece of work.

But I suppose that's how the justice system has to work. If he's said he's not guilty, he needs to be treated just like everyone else who says so until he's convicted. The system needs to be fair, or it doesn't work.

Sorry. I'll get off my soapbox now

Oh obviously. I completely agree to that. And its good that the police didn't torture him or do against the law, in spite of the fact that they lost many colleagues because of him. No, what makes me angry is spending $70 million (& counting) on his security especially when they are so many in the country who don't even have food to eat or water to drink.

Pretty bad.

70 million?... Okay that's a little extreme.... Mind you, I suppose there's a lot of people who want him dead.

Yeah, they do. And he is purposely delaying the trail because he knows that each day it takes over $180,000 to keep him hale & hearty.

Can't they stop him from delaying it, at least?

No, I don't think it is possible. The defence lawyer will scream & say he is being denied his constitutional right. Never mind that he makes up stuff like, 'I am a juvenile, I need to be tried in the juvenile court', so that the Court is forced to order tests to be conducted on him to prove that he isn't a child (which is obvious by looking at him-plus, he said he was 23 in the very beginning). He has made all sorts of tall, incredible stories & his lawyers then demand they be verified. But though it's damn irritating to watch the whole thing, it is way better to follow all procedures & see everything is done properly. A madman & a few million dollars can't be allowed to destroy something as precious as human rights.
Case closed. Otherwise, I would start getting depressed. Especially as I am already very tensed these days. I am not getting enough articles for the magazine! And there is so much to do...
O_o. I like the last line =D.

So... how about those new airline rules...

wrote:The airline said that during the final hour of flight passengers must remain seated. They won't be allowed access to carryon baggage or to have any items on their laps.
Wait, what? What are we supposed to do? Just sit there? How does this help, exactly? Mind you, I haven't been on a plane for the last 5 years.
wrote:The airline advised U.S.-bound passengers to restrict their carryon item to "the absolute minimum" or to not carry any bag on board at all.

"Carriage of any carryon item will result in lengthy security delays for the customer," the airline said.
Uggghhhh.
wrote:The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to discuss the matter, said that passengers would face an extra screening that would take place just before they boarded planes.
Ohhhh, so there are plently more regulations only we're not allowed to know WHAT THEY ARE. We weren't even supposed to know about this, apparently. I know this is for our protection, but is this all really necessary? Would it even prevent an attack? Seriously?

Of course it ****ing won't. It's ridiculous and stupid. Security by pretend obscurity. If we don't tell anybody what they are and are not allowed to do on a plane, then the legit passengers will get caught out and screwed, and anybody actually trying to get past security will Google it and read the inevitable blogs and the like bitching about how STUPID the security regulations are.

You'll note the sources for the regulations we *do* know about are airlines and not the TSA, 'cos the TSA ain't telling anything.

Oh, and said blogs? Yeah, they're sending federal agents armed with subpoenas. Because they can take them all down.

Don't you all feel safe now?

He posted the details of a TSA order requiring pat-downs of all passengers on international inbound flights. The order that he posted had been sent to US Airways employees, and seemed like a reasonable bit of information that people would probably like to know about, so it's no surprise that Elliott blogged about it. But last night, Elliott received a surprising knock on the door from a Federal Agent with a subpoena demanding he hand over the details of where he received the info on the pat down procedure.
What madness is that? The things that the government does in the name of security is downright stupid. Here too. The government wants every tourist coming to India to take a mandatory 2 month break (between 2 visits) after spending 90 days in the country. Just because a man with links to LeT spent months here going on recces (without the government having any clue). He came here on a false visa; instead of seriously trying to crack down on people issuing false visas, the government has decided it doesn't want any tourist to stay here for more than 90 days at a go. How idiotic is that!?! As if it is going to stop any terrorists? And worst, there are people who agree with the government's plan believing that making the country less welcoming would scare the terrorists away.
