Haha....

Nope....Definitely not....Firstly because there's no point going around trashing peoples property and throwing bottles at people....and especially after what happened to that 15 year old boy in Athens there's no way i would be involved in that sort of thing...

And second Dansariki how am I supposed to be involved in a riot when I 'm so drunk I can't walk in a straight line....??!! :P
That's actually a really funny mental image...

In the Far East, China is quite clearly the biggest threat, while North Korea is right behind.
One could successfully argue for NK, due to unpredictability, but China, if they deicide to do something, could do far more.
China has the world's largest standing military, while the US has the largest total (which add active, reserve, and paramilitary units), and NK is the world's 4th largest in standing army, and roughly 8th total.

*Edit*Iran has the world's largest total military, not America. Sorry.

So, in the region, China and NK are 1st and 2nd, respectively, while India, Vietnam, and Iran are the largest (and thus pretty much most dangerous, not taking into account Nuclear capability or lack thereof) in their respective areas, moving East to West.
As for Europe, I'd go for Russia too. They found their balls and have started to walk a fine line, the one that everyone fears.

Economically, the US is still the most influential, as evidenced by our economic screw-up setting everyone else's (which weren't great to begin with) in to motion and over the edge into the recession we're in now.
I see Russia as having the most potential in the future economy, but I have doubts as to whether or not they can capitalize on it.
The Political Atmosphere there is, as usual, hectic and loaded as hell.

In North America, the US takes top spot, regardless.

South America is up for grabs, with Brazil leading in all military categories, but I know nothing of the economic situation there.

Africa goes region by region, I don't bother paying attention. War rages on and off throughout most of the place, power switches with the weeks.

The US still stands on it's hill, but barely.
Venezuela is the threat of South America.
Well, I usually find US the biggest threat. Sorry Datsyuk, but US is the only country in recent years which has been attacking other countries like Iraq, Afganistan & Pakistan(not without a good reason, I agree) be it through rocket missiles or sending troops out there in large numbers.
In the East, like you guys said, China & NK are the biggest threats. But China in the past year or so has become a much more responsible nation.

China? responsible?
Sorry, I'm pretty sure communism isn't described as responsible.

I said the US is still on it's pedestal, but barely.

Apollo-
Not really...
Ok.
But Brazil has the most troops.

Are you weighing that on preconceptions?

And China is no longer pure communist. Mao Zedong was the only one dictator who made the country fully communist.

The people still don't have rights, and they still have a dictator, but because of the recent attention of the Olympics on them, they've sorta let up on their iron hold. In fact there's still much attention (controversy) over China.

As for being responsible, they're differently more responsible than Iran.

this proves to me how little you know.....

communism is left wing yes were all ok with that yes

but in theory if it was followed through like it was supposed to be, communism would have worked, every one would be equal and safe....

BUT
Humans don’t work that way. so communism didn’t work.
so dansariki if you must laugh, laugh at humanity not at communism, it its self is quite responsible for the people...

Economicaly, China is not as Marxist/Communist as some think they are. Socialy, they are "communist" in a loose sense of the word. Loose sense, in this case, meaning, "what the Communism has become."

And no, natural greed renders communism (and indeed, the Marxist/Socialist philosophy in general) as not much more than a dream (or nightmare, depending on your view).
However, maybe certain socialist/anarchist ideas (like the one Sentynel, I think, mentioned he advocated) may or may not work in small groups. The tough part is convincing people to go along with it.

And Dansy, although Brazil may have a larger military, Venezuela is definitely a time bomb.

Yeah, that's me. I'm the extreme left-wing anarchist nutcase.

As I've mentioned many times before, China is a capitalist dicatorship. Their economics are not left wing any more. Not even close.

Well, its true China has become more a responsible nation than what it was previously. Obiviously, being communist & all, it can't be actually called a 'responsible' country, but with the Beijing Olympics & other things, it's realized it has a cemented a place as a world's super-power & is doing its utmost to maintain the position. It doesn't want to be seen hankering support to terrorist groups or turn a blind eye to the piracy problem in Somali waters(just some recent examples).

I say that to my friend Mike all the time, took forever to get him to understand.
Communism would be awesome if we worked that way.

No arguing with that, Apollo, Venezuela's gonna do something eventually.
Think it'll have reprecutions that make it back to us?

China's got the world's biggest Ego.
Can't blame them for that, but we all knew they were a world superpower, they just had to prove it.

I worry more about Iran and NK than China, but I still worry.
