Two Halves
To the world I reveal only half of a being.
The true side of me I keep others from seeing.
A side without worries a side without fear.
A side to myself where no one can peer.
I hide in my mind as I wander about.
But when I lay down to rest my true side comes out.
In the dark of night is the best it seems,
When real life stresses get lost in my dreams.
I can be all alone for no one can follow.
Until morning comes and my adventures are over.
My mind switches states so only half of me shows.
