That deserves a meh.

And the only way to write genuine dark poems is to experiance the things you write about.
Or you could squeeze into a crowded train. At peak periods. On the weekends.
Nothing to see here, move along.

OR listen to a very poetic goth friend mope about how he got dumped. steal what he said, add extra line breaks, remove punctuation and there you have it! a dark poem!!

OR just write it in dark ink, on dark paper.
I love that, after years of not using this forum, my average posts per day is 0.7
It's much easier to write dark feelings when you're feeling dark.

Like this one:

The smell of sweat as it trickles down your face,
The raw anger that compels us forward,
It’s something I’ve always embraced.
I need it more and more.
Your blood pools around you on the floor,
Shouldn’t have gotten me so angry.
I can’t control it anymore.
You pushed me just too far,
Now your organs are kept in little jars.
We never could agree.
You were too serious for me.
Always working,
Never joking,
It pissed me off.
You’d scream and shout when I went a little off task,
I didn’t like that.
So, there you lay,
Evidence of the raw anger,
What was it you always used to say?
‘The world is crying in the hands of fate’?
Well, now I held your world in my hands,
I was your fate
And I decided to end you.
I just couldn’t wait.

...I got so angry at an 'aquaitence' that I came up with it on the spot.

Random Spurt of On-Topicness:

Here's one of mine:

Night's Concert

While humans eyes are shut and dead,
While adventures play inside their heads,
None are real but feel so clear,
Some they love, but most they fear,
We wake upon joyous reunion.

It's not finished yet.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Not too bad...

I'd love to help you with an ending, but I can't think of anything. >.< I'm more for the dark depressing stuff.

I haven't written any poems for a while, I should start again. I like that poem also! No way I could help with an ending though.

If I didn't write of it--think of it--I can't help. I suck like that. :D

Some of mine are depressing, some aren't. My favourite poet is E. A. Poe.

I'm still working on the ending. BTW, yours (both of you) have very good form.

Thankyou! thouggh I don't know what that is, sounds good.

AIONIOS
Thanks, I try. :D

Here's a small one:

Home
This is the only thing I’ve ever known.
This is my favorite place.
I call my secret place my home.
Oh what I would give to see your face,
One more time.
I loved you, I really did.
I wish I could make you mine

Oh, here's another one I found! I wonder if I've put it up before...
Can't Say No
I can’t say no to you
Never knew the word
I loved you, too
But all you ever heard
Was yes
The word stuck in my throat
And I only had to guess
What it was that made me choke
I loved you too much
And I can’t say no
Looks like I’m such
A mess, so
You took advantage of me
I never could say no
As you can see
I loved you so
You betrayed me
I’m under your spell again
Don’t you see?
I used to pretend
That everything was fine
But it wasn’t
Most of the time
I was gone, I learned my lesson
I still can’t say no
But I know now
What I never knew before

Yayness.

Tsk tsk tsk! I have three copies...no wait, four...of all my poems. Most electronic, then one on fictionpress, then one on my computer, and another on my other computer, and I'll back them all up on a USB thingy when I get around to it.

"Good Form" means that the stanza and other sequences of rhyming work well with what you are writing.

And I mean it, they are very good. Did you two ever consider joining a poetry club?

The only thing I would caution against in your case Anuk, is to not get repetative. You haven't done that yet, but you might want to watch out. If you don't "clean out" your mind and look at things from all different angles before you write, you'll end up writing the same type of thing over and over again.

Anyway, that's all I have to say, don't worry, you haven't gotten repetative yet, I'm juat putting in some advice.

Well, thank you for that. A poem I put up earlier, Behind Your Eyes, was published through Poetry.com yayness.

Congradulation

Free From You

The darkness that surrounds me, is an uncommon aura.
I feel like I have lost my way.
My head is spinning, my mind is clouded.
These thoughts are not mine.
Thoughts of pain, deception, and lies.
What magis have you used to curse me?
You have influenced me, to think like you.
This suffering I can no longer stand.
The breaking and bleeding is more than I can take.
Too many times have I been hurt by you.
You tore my heart to peices, and I constantly feel the pain.
No longer will you have control over me.
I thought you would be there, when I needed you the most.
It turns out you are the cause of my pain.
I thought I knew you, but you showed me your hidden side.
You played your game, and I hope you had fun.
Because never again will you have power over me.
I am free from you.

Adele that's perfect! Cookies! :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:

I can't remember what I've posted and what I haven't so here's another:
Tainted
Purity is something you’re born with,
every one of us.
I used to be pure, until I was bit,
by you. I made no fuss,
I used to like it.
Until I realized what it did to me.
You said I blew fits,
But don’t you see?
I was pure all along.
It was you that was unpure.
You never sang your own song.
That I’m sure
You scared me,
Tainted me.
And now I can’t get you to see,
What it was you did to me.

Congratulations Anuk!

Ugh! I have a Hillary Duff song stuck in my head! It's driving me CRAZY!!!

My friend's mom runs a summer camp at their house and we make music videos so we have a cd full of the songs we love most in the summer.

Unfortunately the little kids LOVE Hillary Duff so I put it on the cd and now IT"S IN MY HEAD!!!

HELP!!!
