For those not on Facebook, here is the just-released rerelease cover for Amulet of Samarkand (covers for the other two books presumably to follow):

Bad. Ass.

That is all.
^ Agreed.
On second thought, why does it just say Bartimaeus instead of The Bartimaeus Trilogy?

Funny, the word Baritmaeus comes up on spell-check. I mean, this being Bartiforums and all...

Because with the addition of RoS, it's not a trilogy any more.

So now it's just called Bartimaeus?
Sadness :(
I didn't realize that RoS would be officially considered part of the former trilogy; I thought it would just be a kind of companion to the trilogy
To be perfectly honest, I think the new cover for AoS and the RoS cover look a bit too comercial. Can't say I'm #1 fan of the shiny gold lettering

but of course, I hate to be a kill joy :D

Yah I thought RoS would was a prequel and not directly related to the other three.

Yep, not possible at all. Y'know, unless we see Nat because, in fact, he did not die but instead got transported to the magical Solomon land. Which would make great fanfiction but horrible canon, I've got to say.

Ha that would make me half completely appalled and half utterly joyful just because I was so upset when nat died

I know I suck but I dont like the green. And I think his tail looks weird. The green needs to be something else. Like maybe a shady mix of designes like drawn pentacles, ancient writing in text and other stuff. Or just not green but with more detailed meaningless desgins
I love the cover art, especially the background of London. The only thing bugging me is that the pentacle looks like it's the wrong way round.
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.

^Agree with that completely. I like the cover art a lot (I think that green is awesome. If it was maroon too, it would have been cool. Along with gold, they give that rich-colour feeling which I absolutely love. Just hoped the cover was printed in satin instead of paper) and the pentacle is bugging me too.

There's no particular reason that pentacles have to be drawn point-up, you know.

The cover kicks ass. I love it. Except for the "Time to face your demons" thingy, which, in my opinion, doesn't suit the trilogy/AoS/Barti that much.

If that happened I'd kill Stroud be really disappointed. I love Nathaniel a lot, but he is dead. It should be left that way.

I know but it somehow doesn't seem right.

The only complaint I agree with in this thread is the "Time to face your demons". Doesn't work I suppose.

Wow, this cover does kick ass, like so many say. Gotta say, though, the little catchphrase at the bottom...not too catchy, if you get my meaning. Lighting and contrast is awesome, though.

I think they do that because of some marketing screw up. "It was a Trilogy." "WAIT!! There's another book out! Because there's another book out about Bartimaeus, it can't be a Trilogy anymore!"

I'm pretty sure that's about as far as the thinking behind the title went, personally. I don't know any or of any suits who ever put much thought into anything beyond the barest bones regarding marketing. Anyone remember the "No-Va" incident?

Yes, it is very well done.
hmmm i think the "time to face your demons" is fine because its a bit of a metaphor too. Nathaniel is not only facing Bartimaeus and the other spirits, but also his guilt and terrible deeds which could be referred to metaphorically as demons. His ambition could also be thrown in there for the metaphor.
