Max Barry, creator of the original, reckons they're lying. Honestly, the evidence agrees. I've looked at some other Jolt games and his assessment is pretty accurate.

There was a sequel to Nationstates, and that was the one we were playing. It's down, so Sentynel has gone back to this.

Sent, yours is definitely astonishing. No jails? What do you propose to do with terrorists, murderers, robbers & rapists? I really like the part about people being allowed to do what they want. The government interferes way too much in the personal lives of people. But making it necessary for everyone to learn 5 languages?

The thing about Nationstates is that everything is very exaggerated. If I say, for example, that a local language should be taught in schools, the result is people end up speaking five languages. Or if I repeatedly suggest that rehabilitation should be emphasised over punishment, pretty soon I end up with no jails.

Yes, that's the main problem with communism :P

Communism isn't really practised like that in the current world. No one pays 100% taxes & receives everything by the government.
