No. Nat didn't just dismiss him so he wouldn't be killed, he also did it so Bart wouldn't interfere with the explosion.

Jeez. People should be reading the Bartimaeus Trilogy. At my school library, one of the three books is always taken out. Or maybe cause it's lost. And at the public one near my house has at least a dozen copies of each book in the series.

Very true.
Don't you hate it when a guy next to you in the library is read aloud.
He wasn't even young...
He was a thirty-something read aloud to himself.
It annoyed me to say the least.
