Nat + Kitty = great couple?

Pretty sure it was an afrit.
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Something symbolic in that. It's what fake freedom does for you.

Would have been a fine politician in the event that she and Nathaniel survived and set up government reforms with the Commoners.
Yeah, but would the commoners trust Whitehall as much as Nat(again assuming they both lived)? Some commoners were saved by Nat & Kitty had faith in Nat. So mightbe the commoners would take to Nat more than Whitehall.

Doesn't matter, she'd gain their trust. I saw her as one of the less bad magicians. Nathaniel could put in a good word for her.

She would have been apposed to the commoners parliament, I think, and would not have wanted to take part in it unless all it's senior members were magicians.

Too bad most of them would be dead and she'd have no choice but to consent.

You think so? I think she was wise enough to see the idiocy behind the old government and the need for a new one.

But with commoners? I reckon she'd not have tolerated that. Besides, no matter, she's dead.

Don't think so. She was to prominent a magician not to be. Her wisdom would have been needed by Nathaniel, anyway. Come on, have some faith in her! She was noble. Ish.

Noble? Self-serving and decietful, more like. Sorry, I edited that last post after reading yours.

*sigh*

I know she's dead. This is a hypothetical situation in which she and Nathaniel live and assist in the government reforms.

And yes, she was decietful, so was everyone else. But I percieved her as slightly less deciectful (or perhaps just more wise).

Still self-serving, and I don't think she would have wanted commoners in government. Do you?

After everyone else died and the city was destroyed and all that good stuff that happened at the end, she would have seen differently, because she is wiser and nolber than the others. She would have seen the sense in it and advocated it, grudgingly at first perhaps.

mmmm . . . Okay, you've convinced me.

I have to agree with Apollo. She can't be all that self-serving if she was ready to die rather than let a demon use her body. She's wiser than most & the only magician who comes as close to Nat as possible (in ethics).
