Nat + Kitty = great couple?

General Discussion
I think they would have made a cute couple.

This is perhaps the most analyzed topic in the history of the forum, more than "Can Rammy beat Nouda?" and even more than "Queezle is dead! Nu-uh! Uh-huh!".

Don't forget Golem vs. Rammy. That's turning out to be carefully analyzed.
Gives us something to do.

I think they would make a fantastic couple! I like them both, both are strong & I agree with Bart when he said strong characters tend to gravitate towards each other(or something along those lines).

What did Apollo and I just say??
Ah well.
I stand by my previous statements.
None of them.

i dont reckon they would have got together, even if nat hadn't died. Bartimaeus would have been able to see while inside nats brain if he had romantic feelings towards her. he just says that they are both "powerful characters spurred on by each other" (or something like that, anyway) in the book. besides, kitty hates him too much already.

Actually I think they could have lived with eachother, but I don't see any long lasting relationships, despite Bart's comments about Nat's marching band between the legs, or something to that effect.

if Nat hadn't died at the end of bk 3, they would have left each other alone, i think. Nat's main feeling towards her was guilt, for getting her into the mess in the first place. i wonder (if Nat had survived) if he would have kept his old job in the new parliament? that's an interesting one.

He would have remained in his earlier position, but would be a very changed person.

Do you think the commoners would have agreed to that?

Mmm, think it was mentioned that Nat would put his career first, even when he was trying to change himself.

But with a few...reprimands from Kitty hopefully he could have been redirected.

But still would the commoners have allowed him to keep his position in the government?

Yes, they might. The government now(I feel) would have equal representations from the commoner's & magician's side. And Nat might as well be the sole magician the commoners might come close to trusting(assuming Nat had lived, of course).

Afrit or Djinni, that's another thread (somewhere).
Either way, he did little.
