Like you do any better.
Why shoot for the stars when the bar you raised is buried in the dirt?

And then you proceeded to edit the second one.

And I don't do hilarious, careless typos.

Yes there was, someone had just already found it before me. But I did find it myself. Read previous pages Apollo <

Newbie? Maybe to the forum, but not the books!
I did mean the forum, not the books. Heck, you know the books way better than I do.

Not a bad idea. But that means i have got to post it after every post. Tedious job.

Doesn't really count as an error; Stroud neatly retconned it when we challenged him..

Well, he did manage to worm his way out of it with his (somewhat desperate) explaination, but you have to admit it was definately an inconsistency.

You're quite determined to find an error aren't you Umbreo..? :P

I thought I'd found one in Ptolemy's Gate at the end were Farqual is talking to Nouda and have always wanted to re-read the book and check it but I haven't gotten round to it.... :P

No, I just don't like being told that I haven't when I have. My post above stands.

An error in PG you say? Explain.

As I said, an inconsistency. JS managed to talk his way out of it. His answer was good enough for me, therefore it should be good enough for all of you, but still, an inconsistency.

What's this error in PG?

But it's been fixed, so It's done.
I'm not aware of one in PG, ask Kitty.

You seem to be keen on exposing JS as erroneous.

Tread lightly, Umbreo.

I was talking to Kitty. And please don't get the wrong idea, I don't want to expose Jonathan Stroud as erroneous, I worship the man.

Well as I said before I'm not sure if its an error or not.... :P ...It's more a kind of question which probably has an obvious answer....

You know at the end were Nouda is in Makepeaces body sitting on a throne , and Faquarl is talking to Bartimaeus , Nouda says to Faquarl : ''You did not lie . It is exactly as you said'' and then later on '' Where is my army that you promised me''....There is a footnote on the bottom of the page which refers to Nouda's previous summonings and it says that he is a higher entity than a marid and that beings like him are very rarely summoned...

So my question is how did Faquarl communicate the whole plan to Nouda about taking over the government/world and everything , if Nouda is very rarely summoned....??Would Faquarl have had to make a magician summon him ? Or did he communicate with him in the Other Place...??

Faquarl could have spoken to him directly in the Other Place, or had another spirit relay the message if he wasn't able to return himself.
