i think there has been references to it, as barti (in book) said that they usually take 2 or more magicians :magic: :magic:

Marids do get summoned - hell, they sometimes summon higher spirits - like Ramuthra. They're powerful, sure, but nothing a decent couple of magicians couldn't control.

And a Vortex can destory them
exactly
But Nouda was a higher demon. He was pretty much unstoppable, even with Gladstone's staff.

Nouda was a higher spirit - stronger than even a marid. Ramuthra was a higher spirit too, just not quite as strong as Nouda.

who is ramuthra and nouda? from the third book or something i do not remember?
Ramuthra is from the first while Nouda *spoiler* is in the third.
Mr Penny Feather said his arm got cut off or whatever by a Marid he was questioning. He summoned that one alone.....
1 Pennyfeather never summoned a Marid cuz he's not a magician,

2 he still has both arms

3 if he ec=ver faced a Marid and tried to quetion it, it would kill him in a maatter of seconds

Ramuthra is the big badass demon Simon summons at the end of the first book.

I actually thought Ramuthra would be more powerful than Nouda - remember that it took four magicians to summon it, SPOILER: one of which was the one who summoned Nouda.

A character in the third book is mentioned as having summoned a marid (Mr. Button - that's how he lost his leg), but it's not particularly important to the plot.

I think Ramuthra is more powerful. Her special powers are warping magic not pure unstoppable power like Nouda's. If they went head to head, I would think that Ramuthra would win. Remember, Nouda only took one magician to summon it when four were needed to summon Ramuthra. :phrank:

SPOILER: But also remember that it was in Nouda's interest to come, because it meant he got to be evil and take over the world and eat people.
