Is it even possible
not to love Bart?

I very much doubt that.

CaffeineRiot.com I'd like to see one person who doesn't like Bart. Then I can stone him/her and pour hot tea down his/her front until they admit Barty rules.

well, he is, because he has the first and the last word. but, as mwamba said, Nat and Kitty have just as equal significance.
Of course Bart has the last word, I highly doubt he would let anyone else have it.

i think nat was a little more important than kitty, her being in only 2 books.
well, she was mentioned in aos, but anyway, the story wouldn't be THE story without kitty. she's, like, the opposite of nat

i love ptolemy. Nats ok i guess. i was sad when he died, but not as sad as i was about ptolemy.
I was sad when both of them died, though with Nat, not as much after that "good servant" comment.

I think Nathaniel was the main character, even though Bartimaeus is the only narrator. Nathaniel's easily the best one morally out of the three. Plus, Bartimaeus was only around to serve Nathaniel, who was the real guy doing the real stuff.
I don't know about Nathaniel being the best one morally. Barty & Kitty fit the bill better. Until Nathaniel redeemed himself. Then they were sort of equal.

<@Ximenez> Sentynel: But i have a life? No. Qed.
No, Nathaniel is the best one morally. Nathaniel was the only one who actually did good things. Kitty was a terrorist, and even if you hate to admit it, Bartimaeus had some evil traits. Like, did you notice that he doesn't feel bad when innocent people or spirits die, even when he killed them himself?
