Makes good sense. But Sent, could Faquarl or any other demon see through all the 7 planes when they were encompassed on a human body? If yes, then why wouldn't darkvision work? If no, complete sense.

Yes. The key here was that Barty couldn't do anything more than just switch the lights off.

lol.
Exactly.
Kind of.
If he doesn't make a mistake, we don't have to worry and it cuts down on arguments.

Makes sense I suppose. But Bart COULD have just made a fog or something instead, like he was talking about, if anyone remembers. But he was probably too weak.

I know Apollo, I was agreeing with you.

No, Bart (Well, Abscobal first) mentioned he was a bit whispy about the legs.

The fact remains that Bart turned of the lights, to (as we have deduced) no effect. Why? I think we have gathered that he did this in some vain hope that it could aid his escape from Faquarl, because (presumably) Bartimaeus thought Farquarl's vision might have become like that of a human's. OR just some mistake (less likely, now). Ok?

Yes, with help though, which was the point of this thread.

Er, let me get this right. You're saying Faquarl didn't lose his nightvision even when he was hemmed in a human's body, right? Then any reason why he would lose his ability to see on all 7 planes?

Gah.

N&B - read each line so you can understand before moving on,

Faquarl can see perfectly.
Barti would have known this.
But, Barti didn't know it was Faquarl.
Better safe than sorry.

Simplest I can make it.

No....

He knew perfectly that it was Faquarl in the kitchen.

He even tried to warn the others it twas him.

So that argument is out.

Just read every post by Sentynel, every post by me, and the last few post by Umbreo.
Thanks Datsyuk, I understood the points you made, but I was talking about something different. Could Faquarl (in a human body) see through all 7 planes? I know it's not a part of this topic, but I was just curious. If Faquarl could see in the dark even when inside a human, any reason why he would lose his ability to see through 7 planes? Or did he still possess it?

Yes, Faquarl's sight was perfectly fine.
Feh.
Oh.
Sorry Nero.
He didn't know at first, but yes, he did when the fight started.

Have you even READ the third book, NathanielandBartimaeus? There's pages of evidence to answer that question.
