I've been listening to the third book on CD for the past three days or so. I'm almost finished, but my absolute favorite character is Kitty. In the past two books I liked bartimaeus the best, but in this one, I believe Kitty brings a certain spunk and humor to the novel (which is progressing annoyingly slow in my case. The guy on the CD doesn't read fast enough. I'm a speed reader myself, so I'm not used to it taking half an hour or more to finish a chapter.). Kitty, I guess reminds me of myself somewhat, where as barti (whom I adore as well) is put in such positions as you cannot relate to him, and I really didn't like Nathaniel at all this time around. But Kitty has a spark that we can all relate to, and the author portrays that well. And I also think that Nathaniel may even have a little crush on Kitty... But I'm not finished yet, I guess I'll find out. I just noticed that Kitty did not yet have her own topic, so I started one. :magic:

I can imagine the slow reading.

Book 3 has quite alot of Kittys journey..... She's not my favourite Character though
hi there
Malachi Mouler
Kitty is definately my favourite character in the series. It was Barti but after the first book he didn't seem as amusing.

Not, Kitty, Nathaniel.

But I like her a lot.

Their daring, nerve and chivalry

He means Nathaniel from BT, dear Nat.

He knows that, he's just messing with your head Hon.

Anyway, fav Character? Hmmmm. I couldn't tell you. I like all three of the main charcters for many different reasons. Barti's wit, gyle and personality. Nat's Realism, character developement, and ambition and Kitty's strength, and groundedness. (Is that even a word?)

But I also like Jabor. Don't know why, maybe it's his Anubis guise. Faquarl, and a lot of the other spirits.

I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

The footstool almost beat Nat.

But not quite.

It's kind of funny that I'm always complaining about there being no girl characters in fantasy books that aren't stupid, but when one comes around Nat still beats her....

You HATED Grey's Anatomy?!? How dare you!!!
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.
