In one of my friends' Latin class there was a story they read all about a slave-girl "pleasing" various Romans. Two soldiers killed each other over her.
Nope, sorry!
Adonis: (From Greek Mythology) His mother (A princess) fell in love with her own father. When her mother left, she snuck into his room in the dark and pretended that she was a slave-girl who fell in love with the king. Well, after about three months of this (God, this guy really was stupid) he found out it was his daughter. This was prohibited by Greek law AND religion, so he tried to kill her. She fled into the woods with an unborn child. She prayed to the Gods to "get rid of her" because she polluted the souls on earth, but not to kill her because she would pollute the souls of the underworld too and that her punishment not harm her child. She was then turned into a tree by Gaia (mother earth) and this "tree" gave birth to Adonis.
(Told you it was kinda gross.)
Anyway, Aphrodite (Goddess of love, beauty and sex) found him but didn't want him, so she gave him to Persephone. (queen of the underworld) Years later she saw Persephone in the Spring and saw that she had the most handsome man she'd ever seen with her. They fought over him and Zeus finally got angry and told them they could each have him for half a year. Adnis loved to hunt and killed off a lot of the animals. When it was time for him to go to Persephone, Aphrodite tricked him into staying longer. Aphrodite's usual lover was Ares (God of war and anger) and he was pretty pissed off by this. Persephone went to him and told him about Adonis so he turned himself into a bull and gored the guy. (Some sources say Artemis was the one who actualy killed him) Aphrodite was so heartbroken the she turned his drops of blood into red flowers which bloom beautifully, but die quickly.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.
